The French midfielder is in advanced talks to Ligue 1 side AS Monaco in a comeback bid following a lengthy suspension for doping, according to BBC Sport's Sami Mokbel.
Pogba is expected to sign a two-year contract with the French club.
Monaco are hoping to complete the deal in the coming days, Mokbel adds. They began negotiating with the 32-year-old weeks ago.
Pogba hasn't played since September 2023, when he was a member of Juventus and failed a random drug tested after the Italian club's opening game of the 2023-24 season.
He was provisionally suspended immediately and later received a four-year ban from Italy's anti-doping tribunal in February 2024. His sentence was reduced to 18 months in October following an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Pogba's doping ban ended in March.
It was later confirmed that Pogba failed the doping test after inadvertently taking a banned substance that normally only has an effect on performance for women.
The 2018 World Cup winner has been without a team since his contract with Juventus was mutually terminated in November.
He previously played for Manchester United for six years before starting a second spell with Juventus in 2022.
