David Beckham thinks Minnesota United crossed the line after handing Inter Miami their biggest loss with Lionel Messi in the squad.
Following Minnesota's 4-1 win Saturday, the club posted a series of Instagram posts mocking Miami, including one that referred to the team as the "Pink Phony Club."
Beckham, who has co-owned Inter Miami since 2018, took exception to the insult and responded: "Show a little respect, be elegant in triumph," per ESPN.
However, Minnesota added fuel to the fire by posting a photo of a banner from the game that read, "History over hype, culture over cash," with the words "hype" and "cash" highlighted in pink, Miami's uniform color.
Beckham followed up, saying, "Respect over everything."
