Calvin Pickard came out to start the second frame in net.

Skinner has allowed 13 goals over three games dating back to the Oilers' Game 2 loss.

The 26-year-old was shelled early, as Edmonton allowed 17 shots in the opening stanza while taking three penalties.

Skinner entered the game with a 2.84 goals-against average in the playoffs this year and an .894 save percentage. He had become known for big performances in Game 4s, boasting a 6-0 record with a 1.26 GAA and .955 SV% with a pair of shutouts.

Playing in front of Pickard, the Oilers quickly erased the 3-0 deficit, scoring a trio of unanswered goals with 4:55 remaining in the second period. That left Skinner off the hook for a potential loss, maintaining his undefeated streak in Game 4s.

The Oilers ultimately won 5-4 in overtime as Pickard stopped 22 of 23 shots.
