"It will be a great challenge for us," LaFleur said Wednesday, according to Jason B. Hirschhorn of The Leap. "We all know what kind of player he is and how good he is. I'm sure he'll be telling everybody all our signals. So, we'll have to maybe play that mind game with him a little bit."

Rodgers ed the Steelers last week on a one-year deal. The 41-year-old spent his first 18 NFL seasons with the Packers, winning four MVPs and becoming the franchise's all-time leader with 475 touchdown es. Green Bay traded him to the New York Jets during the 2023 season, but the er's stint in N.Y. lasted only two campaigns.

Together, Rodgers and LaFleur posted a 47-18 regular-season record from 2019-22, including three straight 13-win seasons. They also made two trips to the NFC title game in that span but fell short on both occasions.

The Packers haven't advanced past the divisional round since Rodgers left, but LaFleur said he doesn't have any doubts about Jordan Love's ability to lead the team.

"I feel pretty confident that we know what we have in Jordan. We got a lot of confidence in him," LaFleur said.

The 2025 season will feature more than one notable revenge game for Rodgers, as the Steelers will kick off their campaign against the Jets on Sept. 7.
